Steve WenPetren is a golf aficionado whose passion for the game knows no bounds. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Steve's journey into the world of golf began after serving in the United States Air Force. It was during his time in the Air Force that he discovered his love for the sport, laying the foundation for what would become a lifelong devotion.
In 1996, Steve earned his Class "A" Membership into the PGA of America, marking the commencement of a distinguished career in golf instruction. With over a quarter-century of experience as a PGA member, Steve's dedication to the sport has only deepened over the years. He views playing and teaching golf not merely as professions, but as true callings in life.
Steve's personal golf goals each season are ambitious, aiming to play a staggering 100 rounds of golf. His commitment to the game extends beyond the greens, permeating every aspect of his life. Steve is known to eat, drink, and breathe golf, embodying the spirit of the sport with unwavering enthusiasm.
As an instructor, Steve's approach is characterized by a relentless pursuit of excellence. He invests wholeheartedly in his students' success, often pushing them beyond their perceived limits. Steve believes in the power of passion and dedication, expecting nothing less than full commitment from those he mentors.

Throughout his career, Steve has garnered recognition for his outstanding contributions to the golfing community. Nominated for the Middle Atlantic PGA Teacher of the Year multiple times and named among the Top 30 Players of the Decade, his impact on the sport has been profound.
Steve's journey has seen him serve as an Assistant Golf Coach at the University of Maryland and as the Director of Instruction at various esteemed golf facilities, including IronWood Sports Park, Woody’s Golf Range, and Brambleton Golf Course.
